Things I am Thankful for Today

Today I am going to write about the things I am thankful for:

1. The unforgettable everyday "Good Morning Hugs" that I received from Jake (my son, 11).
2. The gorgeous weather that I got to enjoy on my walk. (and of course the beautiful people God created, that I was able to share a path with.)
3. Good Friends, who I was able to break tortilla chips with at Chile Burrito. To have friends, love you unconditionally, and pick up right where you left off... is priceless.
4. Amazing fellow Gold Canyon Demonstrators, who everyday make my job amazing. On team or not..I can not believe that I get to call these amazing women, my peers.
5. Swiffer Sweeper! I own 2 of these..and I truly can not live with out them. Perfect for touch-ups on all hard surface floors. BUY ONE!!! You will see! Got hair? >>> Get a Swiffer/Sweeper!
6. NEW Purex "Detergent/Fabric Softner/Dryer Sheet - All in One!" This make laundry a No Brainer...(hello have I EVER used Fabric Softner?) Bought these for the first time on our vacation..and I am addicted. Throw it in and forget it! I am ALL ABOUT eliminating steps in my day2day operation. :o)
7. My husband, Chris. Nothing is better than when he walks in, and gives me his "I am home Hug/Kiss"...makes me realize that I too...am Home.

What are you thankful for, today?

One simple thing I love...

Today in Nashville it's raining. I don't know about you..but I love when it's raining hard and you drive under a bridge and the rain STOPS! Then when you come out from under the bridge it starts back with a vengeance! I LOVE THAT! I don't know what I love more..the stillness of the bridge, or the ferociousness of the rain when it comes back.

Maybe you could look at life like going under a bridge. You are busy...you are stressed...and if you simply walk under a bridge...and take a breath and let everything become still...you will have the energy to "go after it" on the other side.

So today, if I find the rain is too heavy I will find a bridge and be still...just for a second..then I will get back and enjoy the busy-ness of the pouring rain.

When People Smile

Well here is my first blog. Wish me luck.

The other day I went walking on a beautiful path with a gorgeous views of open fields and a trickling stream on the side. As I listened to my I-pod (k.d. lang to be exact) I was awstuck at how beautiful people are...when they smile. You see when you are walking on a path..with an Ipod on..it's really hard to say, "Good Morning"...because they can't hear you. So the next best thing to do is smile. Therefore as I walked along, each person I met, who may have been panting, as they jogged or strolling along at a nice pace...I would take time to look into their eyes and smile. And they would go from plain looks, to wide-toothy grins. And I was struck no matter what their age was, or physical appearance was...each and everyone one of them was absolutely beautiful when they smiled. My eyes actually watered...at the beauty.

Everyday many of us go through life, without stopping to take the time to really...I MEAN REALLY look at someone (who you don't know) and simply smile at them. I think that if you take time tomorrow..to try that with just 2 people..you will find out how beautiful people are and how they were created. And you know what? They will think you are beautiful too. :o)
